What's On My Face #2

Hi Guys

I have decided that I am going to do an update of a post which I did in January which is what's on my face. If this is something which you are interested in maybe this could be a monthly or every so many months kind of series.

To keep my eyeshadow in place all day I have been using the ELF eyeshadow primer in Champagne. I know  now this product has become really hard to get your hands on in the UK however have heard that the Freedom eye primer is very similar to this so I may get my hands on this when I am looking for my next drugstore primer instead of using my Urban Decay one every single day.  This primer keeps my eyeshadow on all day even with brands which I know would have worn away before if it was not for the use of a primer.

The eyeshadows which I have been using recently have been more than likely from the Make Up Revulation Flawless pallete.  They are some of the most pigmented eyeshadows which I have seen which you can pick up for not very much money at all. The shades are all very wearable which is unlikely when you have so many shades in one pallete usually there is a few in which you will never use. I am going to have a full review of this pallete and swatches in a future post so keep your eyes  peeled to see which shades I use the most.

Due to it been the summer months eye liner is not a product which I reach for due to the fact that I like to lighten my face up as much as I can so harsh black eyeliner is not something which graces my face.  So the last item which I used on my eyes is the Maybelline sensational drama mascara in Black. This product is one which I could rave about all week I promise I will not in this post but may have to do a post all about it. This mascara has stopped me reaching for the fake eyelashes because it can transform my lashes into fake ones with just a few applications.

The concealer which I have been using to make sure that the dark circles have been concealed is the Rimmel wake me up in Ivory. I have done a review on this product here so if you want to read my thoughts on it you can but let me just say in this post I don't know where I would be without this gem.

The primer which I have been applying to my face in order to make my pores look smaller and my foundation apply better is the Benefit Porefessional. As you can see I only have a sample of this which I think I received in a goody bag from an event I attended.  I don't mind this product I think it does the job which it states it will do but the one thing which puts me off purchasing the full size is one the price and the other is it can feel a bit greasy on my skin.

For foundation I have been mixing the Bourjois CC cream in Ivory and the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in 52 Vanilla. I have found that this then gives me the perfect amount of coverage which I want and both shades work for me as the cc cream is slightly too light and the foundation is a shade I think to dark so blend a pump of each on the back of my hand and blend then I have the perfect shade.

The blush I have been using recently is the Sleek blush inRose Gold I feel like this gives me the perfect amount of glow without looking to glittery I just apply a light coverage of this on to my cheeks to give me some colour. This is a product which I have been using for a long time and am actually going to be sad when it runs out completely.

On my lips has been the Maybelline colour drama pencils inthe shades In the Coral and Fuchsia Desire. I have not been wearing both at the same time before you think that but  have been wearing either one or the other for the longest time. I feel like these are so easy to wear and they make me so confident and last a long time. I think these products might have to have a whole post dedicated to them in the next few weeks. I love them that much.

What has been on your face recently? Also let me know if you would like a review of any of the products mentioned and I will get one done.

Time for Change

Hi Guys

After spending a week at home in my old room I realised how many beauty products and other items I still have there which I am doing nothing with they are just sitting there collecting dust waiting for me to reach for them again,

I have decided that I am going to use as much of them as I can because otherwise it is a waste of money right?. I have taken so many products which I know that I am going to run out of at uni soon back with me so that I can use these up instead of purchasing more when I already have these in my stash. Hopefully this will help me reduce my stash as well as save some money who know I might rediscover an old favourite which I had completely forgotten about.

Obviously if I am at uni and unable to travel home and need a product and noting can do the job then I can purchase the item, This is not a spending ban as such it is more of a change of lifestyle because I will admit I have become part of the I need it I will buy it culture we have.

I will still be doing hauls I have a few to post from before these changes however more shopping in my stash and reviews will be coming on this blog which I am sure you are looking forward to. Once I get in my skin in a condition where I am happy with it I am going to be sharing make up looks using some products which I have forgotten about. I will be doing wishlists when I want products and then looking back each month to see if I still want that product or if it would have been an impulse purchase.

Don't worry I am not ending this blog I am merely making some slight changes to my life. I hope you understand.

Do you love your smile?

Hi Guys

Loving my smile is something which I really struggle to do. The reason why I think that I struggle with it so much is because of the fact that my teeth are not perfectly white due to the fact that I am addicted to drinking coffee which can stain your teeth,

My teeth are also not perfectly straight which is something which I would love to change as well. I think since I have grown up this is something which I have hated more and more maybe this is due to the fact that I have become more self concious of my smile.

I have done some research and have found The Centre of Advanced Dentistry Yorkshire who are based in Wakefield. I think when I get some free time I am going to go and have a free consultation to see how much and how I would go about the process of making me more confident. I think that I would start with the problem of my teeth not been straight because of the fact that I know this would it take more time to correct than the whitening.

Would you ever have work done to make your smile perfect?

Superdrug Bits #1

Hey guys

Today I decided that I was going to share with you a few bits which I have picked up in Superdrug on a recent trip. For me I was well restraint and decided that for the moment I am only going purchase items which I don't have something in my stash which could do the job. I have decided that due to the fact that I didn't realise how big my stash was.

Recently I have found that I have had a build up of products close to the roots of my hair. So to make my hair feel clean and get rid of it I decided that I would pick up the John Frieda Beach Blonde Cool dip purifing shampoo. I am only going to use this once a week and see if I can see any difference I will let you know how I get on but due to the fact that it was on offer for only £3.99 I could not leave it.

The only make up item that I picked up was the NYC City proof eyeshadow 24hr in 625 Rockfellar Snowflake. The reason behind me picking this item up was due to the fact that it reminded me of the NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Milk but this is can be really hard to get your hands on in the UK.  Hopefully this is a product which is similar and then it allow the eyeshadow which I put on top of it will pop. This eyeshadow has a very creamy texture and blends really well which is something which I want and you don't have to press too hard to get any pay off.  This product is only £2.50 which is a bargain and if it is not something which I use a lot it doesn't really matter.

V05 heat protect styling spray this is another product which I needed to get because of the fact the one which I have been using which is the Aussie on is running out and no matter which Boots or Superdrug I pop into I never seem to be able to find it. So I decided that I needed to try another brand before I run out completely one day. This V05 one was on offer and it is from a brand which have a good reputation so this is another reason why I decided that it was the one which I was going to see how I get on with.

Have you tried anything from this haul if so what did you think of it?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer Review

Hi Guys

I don't know about you but sleep is something which I love but never ever seem to get enough of. This has left me with some dark circles around my eyes as well as occasionally bags under them. That's the result of not having enough sleep.

There is one concealer which I reach for every day before I leave the house. This is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer I am in the shade 10 Ivory. It may be me but I think that this concealer smells amazing I can't explain what it smells of but whatever it is I love it.  Aside from this the concealer has slight particles of glitter in it which when it catches the light it makes you look more awake as the name suggests, Now this concealer may make you look like you had a couple more hours sleep but it is not going to make you look like you have had a full nights sleep if you have not been to bed.

This is the lightest shade which Rimmel do and I would say it is not that light so if you are much paler than me this is a product which may not be suitable for you. There is only 4 shades in the whole range which seems limited to me and may mean it is unsuitable for you.

I also find this concealer to blend pretty easy I either blend it with my finger or I blend it with the real techniques buffing brush depending on if I am wearing foundation or not. I do find that during the day the coverage does decrease but this is expected I can have it on for up to 14/16 hours but it is still on my face when I go to remove my make up. This concealer is only £5.49 for a tube which seems to last a pretty long time so you can not complain about this product this is sure one I will be repurchasing in the future,

Have you tried this concealer if so what did you think?
