Baby Name Tag

In the last few months, I have seen a lot of Youtubers dot the baby name tag and it has become one of my favouite videos to watch because I am noisy and like to see what other people think of names. I actually saw my lovely friend Emily do it on her blog so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and do it as well.

1. What is your favourite boy and girl's name from the top UK names list?

For a girls name I think I would have to go with the name Scarlett which I think is just such a pretty and really girly name without sounding too cute and young. I do not actually know anybody called this at the moment but I am sure this will change now I have said it.  For a boy my favourite name is Logan which I think is all to do with Xmen but for me it a really strong and powerful name which is maybe the reason behind why I like it so much.

2. What is your least favourite boy and girl's name from the top UK names list?

For a girl it has to be Jessica, I know the reason why it is my least favourite because this is what so many people ask if Jess is name actually is when you tell them her name. No, it is not I feel like getting her a t-shirt which says Just Jess maybe that could be her blog in the future she was one of only 15 Jess's registered in the UK in 2015.  For a boy it has to be Bobby there are some personal reasons and the fact is that I just don't think the name Bob would suit a child now. Sorry if your kid's names are these.

3. If you had twins, what would you name them? (G/G, B/B, B/G)

Oh, this is a hard one I think girls would be Scarlett & Daisy, boys Jacob & Harry, Boy and girl would be Scarlett & Jacob. For some reason  it is a lot harder for me to think of boy names I like maybe because I seem to know a lot more guys than I do girls and their names remind me of so many people.

4. If you could change your name to anything what would it be?

No, I wouldn't even though my name is super common it has not done anything to annoy me too much and it has lasted me 22 years so why change it now.

5. You have four children, any gender, their first names all have to start with the same letter. What would their names be?

Jess, Jacob, Jordan, Josh I don't think I could have all J names thought it would confuse me way too much and I would be pretty outnumbered.

6. What's your favourite animal inspired name?

Leo which is Latin for Lion I think this is a name which I like and an animal name which people wouldn't think is too out there and different.

7. What's your favourite colour inspired name?

Violet without a doubt it is such amazing name for a little girl and it is not one which you seem to hear too often.

8. What are your top 3 favourite boy names?

Jacob, Harry & Matt

9. What are your top 3 favourite girl names?

Scarlett, Daisy & Masie

10. What is your favourite celebrity baby name?

I had to have a google because I can never remember celebrity baby names however, I really like Luna which is John Legend's little girls name I think it is something which is super different and so cute and very pretty without been too unique as well.

11.What is your ultimate guilty pleasure name?

I guess I don't have one because how can a name be a guilty pleasure I really do not understand this.

12. What are your most hated baby names?

I don't hate it any baby name as this is very strong word but a name which I am not a huge fan of is the name Bear I don't know why maybe it is just cute while they are young but I do not see a grown man called Bear.

13. A baby name based on a food / drink?

I think I am going to have to say Louie which is a crab I think it is one which you could use and people would not think that it was too unique and I do not think there are many people who I actually know who have this name.

14. A baby name based on a month?

This for sure is not a name I would use at all because I do not think you could get away with it but September I think it is different but who knows I might start a new trend and this might become a new name.

15. Choose a baby name from a movie?

Logan, of course,  I think this is a beautiful name and of course, it is from the Xmen which is one of my favourite series of films so it only seems fitting.

16. Choose a name that is already in your family.

Noah, I think is a really beautiful name, however, I know so many people called this now so I do not think I would be using this in the future should I have any more children.

What do you think of the names I have chosen. If you have not do this tag and would love to please do, leave me your links in the comments because for sure I will check them out.

Small Random Home Bargains Haul

Randomly a couple of weeks ago I was near a home bargains store so I decided that I was going to pop in it is not a store which I go in a lot because I never seem to be close to one which is annoying because I love it. If you have not see what Jess wore for Halloween that outfit was actually from home bargains if you have not seen what she wore it is on my Instagram that whole outfit only cost me £5 which is very impressive or I seem to think so. I will be checking out their seasonal items are because I forgot how nice some of their items are. Anyway on to some of the other items which I picked up.

The first item I picked up was these Aspire drinks if you remember at the start of the year I was sent some of these too review and have only seen them in shops such as Holland and Barrett so when I spied these for only 39p each I knew I had to purchase some. These are great when you want a cool drink but you do not want it to be too super fizzy I love these in the summer but I am sure they are going to be perfect when I am really warm and need something to cool me down. I hope that they have them in the summer as well because they are something which I will be stocking up on. I defiantly recommend these ones and they have both flavours which is always a bonus.

The next couple of items which I picked up are for Jess and they are the Heinz biscuits which are peppa pig that are strawberry and peach and the paw patrol ones are peach and apricot. Jess sometimes does not have a snack in the afternoon at nursery which means that she needs a snack when she gets home to go with her milk.  These are perfect because they are very small biscuits which means that she can always have a few in a little bowl and they were only 69p for this pack which is great as they are resealable because you can save them for other nights. Jess does like them because in nearly a couple of week Jess has managed to eat a pack I recommend these if you have a toddler. I think I will be going back to see if they have any more of these because she adores them and it is always great to find something which she loves.
Cotton pads are something which I do not love to spend a lot of money on at all so I picked up these amazing Johnson ones because at the moment I have an ear infection which means that I have to put cotton wool in my ear in order to get the junk out. I also love to remove my make up with make up remover and cotton wool and this pack was under £1 and I needed some of this so I thought I would pick these ones up. I would recommend them but I do not have a favourite brand or anything.

The next item I picked up is some of these no kink hair bobbles. I have managed to break some of the ones which I have had previously however, I do not find that they do not leave my hair kink free so I thought I would try some of these cheap ones I think they were about 69p. I do not spend a lot on bubbles because I either snap them or end up losing them I am sure any girl has this problem. I will let you know how I get on with these bubbles. I do like it keeps my hair up and off my face which is something I want from a hair bobble.

The next items some Heinz ready meals for Jess as I said sometimes she does not have snack at nursery or for some reason she is not eating with us and we need to fed her quickly so I picked up these for £1 each. I got the spaghetti bol, sweet and sour chicken and hot pot. Jess has had one and seemed to love it so I think I might stick up on these as they are handy to have in the cupboard when you have a busy life like us. They only take 1 min in the microwave and then this is ready to eat which is always great if you have a toddler screaming that she is hungry you do not want to be waiting a long time for food to be ready.

I picked up this little lunch bag which comes with a plastic box this comes with an insulated bag which means that your food will keep cool which is not something I need at the moment as the weather is not very warm at the moment. This bag only cost me £3 I think it was I need a new one as I had left my old one in the library a couple of weeks ago which I know was stupid and from then on my sandwiches were getting squashed which is something which I was not loving. I have been using this and the only thing which annoys me is that the box takes up nearly all of the bag which is kind of annoying as you can't put much in more than a couple of sandwiches.

Any student will tell you that they need energy when it is coming up to this time of year some of the deadlines are coming up which means that we have to spend hours in front of a computer team this with late nights and early mornings like I have and Monster is your best friend. So when I saw these were only 89p when in stores they can be around £1.50 so I has to pick a few up because it means that I can save the pennies which is important because it is Christmas very soon.  They have a couple of different flavours like the no sugar one so if you like monster it might be worth a trip over to home bargains.

Yes I have not gone crazy I actually purchased 3 of these toothbrushes and they are the wisdom toothbrushes for the little people between the age of 0-2 years which Jess is still in. These are perfect because she can try and brush her own teeth because she is such an independent little lady. She brushes her own teeth and then I go over and do them again the reason we needed 3 is because they are so much cheaper at home bargains than we have found anywhere else she needed a new one for at home as hers needed changing the same could be said for the one which she has at Daddy's house and I thought I would pick up a spare one because you never know when she is going to need one. I think these are something like 69p and I have only seen them for around £1.29 now and they are something which Jess loves so I decided to stock up and let her continue these toothbrushes.

The final item I picked up was this travel mug because it is getting colder in the mornings and I need coffee to be able to function. I actually dropped my costa one in August and this means that I could not use it any longer I have been debating purchasing another one. I actually saw these when I was in the store and it was around £3 which is very cheap as the costa one is around £5. I have actually noticed that since I have been using it the rose gold dots have started to wash off and I have not been putting this in the dishwasher. I do think this does look a lot like something which you would have in Kate Spade I know that the quality is not as high as a Kate Spade one however, this was only £3 which is a fraction of the price.

I think this is a store I need to visit more because you really do seem to be able to pick everything up in there and so much of it is so cheap but good quality which is always important to me.

Have you had any bargains from Home Bargains recently?

Falling For Fall Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Sarah from mummycatnotes she is a lovely fellow Mummy bloggers who is you have not checked out you should. I am so thankful that she tagged me because autumn/fall is one of my favourite seasons of the year.

What is your favorite Fall scent?

I think one of my scents is the cold mornings because it is amazing I love the crispness in the air because nothing like it at the other time of the year. I am no one who loves the sweet scents which come out because of Halloween I love the licorice scent of candles which come out for sme reason at the time of year as well.

Do you prefer apple stuff or pumpkin stuff?

This is a hard one for me because I do not think I have ever had a pumpkin I like the scent I know this thanks to Lush and their bath bombs but I think I would have to say apple because it's so fresh and crisp as well.

What is one thing that you look forward to every single Fall?

I would say bonfire night I don't think that there is anything more magical than getting wrapped up all cosy and warm heading out somewhere to watch pretty colours pop and fill up the skies. I hope that Jess does change her mind on them because currently, they are something which scares her.

How do you like to spend the more chilly/cloudy days in the Fall?

In the ideal world where I do not have uni work coming out of my ears, I would love to spend it all cosey on the sofa maybe with a blanket or something watching a good children's film may be something from Disney because there is a lot of them that I am yet to see. I would love something like a huge mug of hot chocolate as well.

Which do you prefer: Halloween or Thanksgiving?

Due to the fact that I am in the UK and we do not have Thanksgiving I would have to say that I prefer Halloween, however, this is a holiday which I would say we do not do much for at the moment. Currently this year the only plan is to dress Jess up on the day for a party which they are having at nursery. It's not something we go crazy about this may change when Jess becomes a little bit older who knows.

What is one way you do to embrace the Fall season?

I think its boots because they are so amazing they keep your feet dry and it is a way that you can rock the fluffy socks which keep my feet super warm. For some reason, they are something which I do not get out until the autumn but I wish I could them on all year long with leggings.

What photos would you like to get this Fall season?

I would love to be able to get some amazing pictures of Jess playing in the leaves I think because it is the first year she can properly walk which means that being an outdoors child she is always going to be want to be outside so I have the chance of this. I have a picture in my head of her in a nice coat and her boots playing walking along in the leaves.

Favorite childhood memory from this season?

Just returning to school after the holidays and the excitement of the build up to Christmas and all huddling around the single radiator that works in the school or sitting on the pipes which used to be warm. Always having some amazing roast dinners which you seem to eat more of when the weather becomes a little bit rubbish.

What is your favorite trend (fashion/makeup/etc) so far this season?

As a mum who is always busy I have has a lot of time to look but I would say it is ankle boots because they are something which is are always really comfortable and on the top of my list. I think in a couple of weeks I will have to get them out because so far it has been way to mild so I have not had them out.

Describe what the Fall weather really looks like where you live.

Windy, bit wet at the moment, being in England where its pretty much always raining and a nice temperature however, this year we seem to be having warmer days and it does not seem to be raining that much at the moment however, I am sure this is something which is going to change in the coming weeks.

I am not going to tag anyone, because Fall is nearly over I guess but if anyone wants to go for it do it and leave your link in the comments and I will check it out.

Tell Me More Tag

I was looking through my blog and the posts which I want to share with you in the next few weeks and realised that a lot of them are hauls as I have been purchasing a lot of things since I have a lot more free time since I finished university for the summer, Or reviews and tips of things which I feel could be useful to people this summer. While scrolling through social media which I do when I am looking for inspiration I noticed Sian from Theenglisheverygirl had done thing tag which shares a little bit more information about yourself with your readers. I realised that this is something which I have not done in the longest time so I though I would do this tag.

What’s the story behind your blog name?

When I was looking for a new name for my blog following the relaunch I had a lot of ideas and to be honest the name cupsofcharlotte comes from the fact that I want my blog to be like having a cup of coffee or something with a friend. I thought the best way to incorporate this idea within my name and that is how cupsofcharlotte was born.

What’s your real reason for blogging?

The main reason when I started was because I want somewhere where we can look back in a few years time when Jess is older and look back and see what we were doing what at any time. How we felt and also I feel like blogging is a great way for family to keep up with what Jess is doing as you know a few of them do not live close so it is a great way to get updates I know that Joe reads at the moment for this reason and also to see if he has had a mention.

Best thing about blogging?

Actually been able to write and say what you want as a student I do a lot of writing however, the majority of it is for assignments where I do not have the chance to be creative say what I want and write in my own style. However, on my blog I have full control and I love it even taking pictures to remember memories helps as I think I wouldn't take as many pictures if it was not for my blog.

Worst thing about blogging?

The way that people can change once they get a big following you can go from speaking to them so much and almost speaking every single day to them not even bothering with you and unfollowing you on social media once they have a large enough following. I am not saying this happens to everyone once they get a larger following but losing friends is the worst part of blogging.

Proudest moment so far?

I would say working with some of the amazing brands we have had the opportunity to work with. When I started never did I think that I would be lucky enough to be send products to try and share my opinions with you all. Another product moment which if you have a blog you will understand is my DA hitting 21 which means I have more opportunities now.

What are your ultimate blogging goals? Don’t be shy!

Blogging for me is only a hobby as much as I love it is not something I can see myself doing full time to be honest however, should that happen it would be amazing.  One thing which I would love to do is get into coding more and maybe one day self host my own blog but I know that this will not be for at least a few years yet.

If you released a book, what genre would it be?

I would be shocked if I ever wrote a book to be honest but it would be a rom-com style something which is really easy to read because that is the type of book I like to read so I would have to publish something I would be likely to read.

If you released products, what would they be? Homeware, beauty, or something unexpected?

If I was to bring out products I would love a few different ranges I would love to have my own candle brand as they are something I have a huge passion for, I think I would also bring out a kids clothing line like the brands you see on Instagram. Finally I think I would bring out some stationery because everyone loves it and with out I could not be as organised as I am.

What would you name the products and why?

I have no clue I have't thought about it in enough detail because I know it is only something which I can dream of doing.

What has blogging taught you?

That it doesn't matter if your friends are miles away from you they will always have your back and be able to help you should you need them.  Being nice to actually pay off because if you are a bitch nobody is going to want to be friends with you and you will not succeed.

Sum up your blog in three words!

Lifestyle, Family, Me

If you do the tag let me know in the comments I would love to read them

Soundtrack To My Life

Thank you to the amazing Nicola from Mummytodex for tagging me in this post all about music that have defined a period of my life. Back in the day music actually used to play a huge part in my life at the moment, it doesn't play as much of a part but I am sure this will change again in the future. Without further ado this is the soundtrack to my life you will realise that I listen to so many genres.

Status Quo - Rocking over the world. I think this song reminds me of so many memories I remember it been played when Hull FC had won the Challenge Cup way back in 2005. I was only 10 at the time but remember vividly after the club song that this was played. I have been lucky to see Status Quo twice with my Mum and they were amazing I think this is where the love for rock music comes from.

Meatloaf- Paradise by the dashboard lights is another oldie but goodie this song reminds me when we used to have tapes in the car who else remembers that? My dad used to always put meatloaf on on the way back from my Nan's house who lived around 45 mins away we used to turn the music up so loud and sing at the top of our lungs. I think I might still know every word to this song clearly my parents have good musical taste.

The first song which I had to mention was My Chemical Romance- I'm Not Okay (I Promise) back when I was in high school this song used to be one of my favourites. I went through a full-on emo stage and was always listening to bands like MCR. We always used to blast this out throughout mobile phones and then sing along to it who else remembers doing this.

Avcii - Wake Me Up this song reminds me of the summer before I went to university which was a strange time for me because of the fact my parents had just got back together after nearly a year apart. I was in a relationship with someone now I know I didn't love which ended shortly after starting uni. As soon as I hear this song I think back to this time. I think I wanted to wake up when I had moved and started my new life.

Lana Del Rey- Summertime Sadness is one of the most random songs the reason that this song is on the list is because I vividly remember that this was the song which Joe was blasting out pretending to be cool when we first met. I must admit that it is not the best song which he could have been playing because I am sure that it is actually about a breakup but I will never forget him blasting it out at my first university house when we met for the first time after months of talking.

The final song for now is Calvin Harris - How deep is your love the reason behind this is because this was the song which was playing when Jess was born. I had a C-section as some of you may know and in the theatre, they had a radio on and as she was born this song which was playing so this song is always to play a massive part in my life. This song was one which changed my life as such.

I know that there will be important songs in my life in the future which will be the song track to my life.

I am not going to tag anyone but if you want to do this tag feel free and leave me a link if you do in the comments below.

What is the soundtrack to your life?

Reasons Why I Am Rocking Motherhood

Motherhood is something which people make look super easy but I can tell you from my own experience sometimes this is not the case. If you are like me sometimes you will feel super guilty for doing certain things like currently, I feel guilty because I have not spent a lot of time with Jess recently because I have been revising for my exams.  I also feel like I may miss some of the milestones which she is the achievement because of uni but I know in the long run it is for the best. I also feel like I do not celebrate enough of the amazing achievements which we have together.  I was tagged by Katie from livinglifeourway to post 10 reasons why I am rocking motherhood.

Five Under £5 July 2016

Hi Guys

Today I am joining in with my first ever link up post which was created by the lovely Julia who blogs at Rainbeaubelle. I have seen the Vicki from Letstalkbeauty do this for a few months and I thought this is something I would be interested in sharing as well. The aim of it is to share 5 items which you have purchased that month which have cost less than £5 items which normally may not have made it into a haul. This month I have decided to pick items which I have purchased for Jess as I haven't really purchased much for me under £5.
