The September Melt Box - Flamingo Candles '17

One thing which I am always looking forward to when a new month started is that there is going to be a new melt box arriving as you know I am someone who loves burning candles and tarts. With this weather which is coming colder, I can see myself burning some of these fast. Today I am going to share with you September's edition I know this is super early for me to put one of these up but I have some amazing content which is going to be coming up in the next few weeks.

If you are unsure what the melt box is it is a monthly subscription box from flamingo candles each box has 8 wax tart melts. They are a combination of old favorites, current scents and some which are still yet to be launched as well as some exclusives to the melt crowd. As a member, you receive a wax burner with your first box which allows you to burn the wax as well as a 20% discount code with every box which is useful for us candle addicts.

Bubblegum is not one which I would have selected should I have gone into a shop which sells the wax tarts because of the fact that I am not a huge fan of sweet scents. This does actually remind me of the scent of the cheap chewing gum which I used to get when I was younger. This does mean that I am going to be more likely to actually burn this at some stage in the future maybe before Christmas. If you love sweet scents this for sure one is which you will love more than me. I do love that this month because the theme is Grl Powr it comes with really cute little saying to make yourself feel better about yourself. I do love thinking I am magical and this is something which I think a lot of people are going to love.

Black Raspberry and Vanilla which is one which for sure is one of my favourites the reason behind this is because I like vanilla however for me it has to be mixed with something otherwise I find it a little bit too bland and boring. The black raspberry in this tart gives me something which actually which is not too fruity it gives it an element which I love that I can not describe but it is almost like a spicy edge, however, it can not be but this is what makes me actually love this. This for sure is going to be one which I am going to be burning very soon because we all know that I cannot wait once I have my tarts.  I also feel like I have a life at the moment and that is very rare for me because I do not usually have my shit together.

Cherry is a scent which I love as long as it does not smell too artificial which is a problem which I have found with a lot of cherry scented candle products which I have had in the past and usually I tend to go for more black cherry scents. I do not know if flamingo have managed to crack the cherry scent or if it is the amaretto which makes me adore this scent but for sure it does make me think that I am going to have to burn it very soon because it is amazing and one of my favourites in the collection which we received this month. Which technically is a sweet one which is surprising because as I am sure you are aware I prefer fruity and fresh to sweet scents.

The next scent which I got in the box is the lime and black pepper which is not one which I think I would have thought as a candle scent instead it is something which reminds me of the crisps which I think it is walkers who do. This scents one which is very clean with a hint of something which means that it is not too fresh this must be the black pepper element. This for sure is not one which I would have picked up if I had not been sent it, however, it one which I am actually liking andthis I am going to end up burning this in the next couple of months while the weather comes cooler.

This one I am not going to lie to you is one which for sure I was unsure about because of the fact that I know I love the smell of new books there is nothing more I love than actually sitting down and reading a new book, however, old books just makes me think of a library and the smell of that. This scent is one which I kind of am not going to be able to do justice because I can not put my finger on what it actually smells of. This is one which I am going to say is not unpleasant at all it is far from it but it is not one of my favouites from this box. I do not want to put the candles down though because it is really nice.

Lilac to me is actually a colour not a scent so when I received this one I did not know what to actually think about the scent.I still am unsure what I think this smell like I think it is very floralish. I don't think I actually like the scent too much because of the fact I do not know what it does actually smell of an I think I actually like to know what a scent is before I burn it because there is nothing worse than burning a candle which you do not actually like in the end. This is going to be one which I am not going to be burning for a while.

I love thunderstorms which are in the weather they are amazing I do not know what this scent smells of as well because of the fact that I do not think that thunderstorms actually have a scent, however, every single time I smell this scent I can actually smell something different every single time I actually dry sniff this. I am unsure what I am decided if I adore this scent it could be because of the fact that every time I smell it I get a different vibe. I am sure if actually burn this candles I will find out if I do love this because I should get its true scent. This for sure is going to be one which I do not burn for a while because there are ones which I love more.

This box is not one of my favourites I think that I have had months which have been of more appeal to me however, I know this is personal preference. I am looking forward to the next box because October I think could be an amazing box because after all it is going to be Halloween and techincally Autumn.

Have you tried out this box if so what is your thoughts?

Flamingo Candles - July Box 2017

July's box came with a theme of Pool Party which really suits the month because we have been having such a heat wave in the UK. I think everyone has been wanting to have them if they haven't been there anything better than cool water in this heat. I have to say how amazing the packaging is in this box as well because we have unicorns. watermelons and doughnuts which all seem to be on trend at the moment and they are all in emjoi's.

This month has a really cool selection of melts so without further ado I will share with you the scents. The first one which I unboxed was pomegranate cider which makes me think of sipping the fruit ciders in either a beer garden or at the minute more likely the back garden. This smells really autumnal almost to me because of the fact that I associate the pomegranate with that time of year more than I think of it in the summer. This is actually one which I really do like and can see myself burning very soon even though I have a hell of a lot of melts to burn.

Watermelon is not a strong scent so to me I actually have no association with a scent for this candle which is shocking, however, instead of it smelling fruity like you might think that it should because it is a fruity scent to me it smells a hell of a lot more clean and fresh which if you have read my candle posts in the past you know I love this kind of scents. This for sure is going to be one which I am actually going to be burning in when the weather cools down a little bit because at the moment I am finding it slightly too hot to be burning.

Mango and Dragonfruit wax tart is heaven to me because as someone who absolutely adores the scent of Mango as long as it is not made to smell like it is too artificial. Flamingo candles have made it so that this scent is not too artificial so this is one which I love so much because it smells like real mangos do as bad as it sounds it smelt that fresh that I almost wanted to eat the candle. Don't worry I resisted the urge because I know it would not do me any good. This for sure is going to be another one which is burnt very soon because it has to be nearly one of my favourites from this box.

Beach Balls to me should smell of rubbery plastic or is that just me who has the smell of that when they think of beach balls. This tart to me doesn't have the scent of this because this would not be something which would be very pleasurable to burn, however, for me this is not a tart which has a lot of scents. The small scent which I can smell does not remind me of anything this for sure is going to be one which is added to the collection but not burnt for a long time.

Lemon curd is the next one which I picked out of the box and this is one which I love even though I am a huge fan of sweet scents this one to me is not actually too sweet at all which makes a change because I know so many of these can be. To me, it smells more like Lemon which you would find in cleaning products rather than a sweet one which is not something which you would expect from a product which is meant to be lemon curd scented.  This for one is going to be one which I am burning very soon.

Pineapple and Raspberry are not too fruits which you would think about putting together when it comes to the summer months however, they are both summer fruits which I adore. I am unsure which scent I get the most of when I dry sniff this I think it is actually the blend is amazing. I think that it is something which should they do the scent in a medium candle or something like this I would repurchase because of the fact that I really like it so I might have to go on the hunt for this.

The next one which I picked out of the box was this lovely sweet lime and cedar scent which really is one which I enjoy this is because of the fact that I love the citrus scents which we are the notes which I get when I give this a dry sniff. I am unsure what the cedar is meant to be to be so this could be another reason why I am more attracted to the sweet lime element.  This is another one which I would love to purchase should it be able to get in in another form rather than a wax tart as I have a lot of them to get through. For sure this is one I will be burning in the next few months though.

The final item which was in this box was the Thai Lime and Mango scent which is surprising as we have already had a lime fragrance in this box. I love mango the scent as long as it is not too artificial which this is not it smells like the actual fruit which is alway a winner in my book. I do actually get a mix of both of these scents which is one that is nice because it is very fruity which is amazing because it is a scent that I adore. I think I might claim that this is my favourite in the whole box because it is that amazing and when I have space in my tart burners.

What if your favourite scent out of this months box? Do you have any recommendations of companies that I should try?

The June Melt Box- Flamingo Candles '17

Another month has started well I know it started a while ago but that means that there is a new melt box. This months theme was tropic like it's hot as June is officially the start of the summer which as I write this is true because the UK is experience a heatwave it has been getting as hot as 30. No doubt next week we will be back to rain.  I am going to apologise for the quality of the pictures for some reason when I have uploaded them to blogger some of them have really random lines and there is nothing I can do with it. So I am very sorry about that.

If you are unsure what the melt box is it is a monthly subscription box from flamingo candles each box has 8 wax tart melts. They are a combination of old favourites, current scents and some which are still yet to be launched as well as some exclusives to the melt crowd. As a member you receive a wax burner with your first box which allows you to burn the wax as well as a 20% discount code with every box which is useful for us candle addicts.

The first scent which I picked up was Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream which to me smells so much of summer because ice cream is something which I adore in the warm months. This really is one which I think I may have to burn in short periods of time because it is sweet which means that it could give me a headache if I have it in for too long,  However, this is one which I can not wait to burn this one because it does smell amazing like the actual ice cream but I am sure it will save me calories because I can not eat candles.

Cola Ice Pops is only a little bit of the cola scent and it is not one which smells like fake/cheap coke if you know what I mean, This does smell a little bit of the cola sweets which you get from Haribo I glad it is only light scent of cola because otherwise it may give me a horrible headache and not actually want to burn it if it was way to strong. This is going to be one which I think I may wait a while to burn maybe more when it is the actual summer months so more July/August will I burn this tart.

Gin and Tonic scent is not one which I love at all I think this is because to me it smells really like a perfume and it is not one which I actually like, I don't think I have actually tried gin & tonic but this scent I think would be one which people would love if they love gin and tonic. This is going to be one which I will not burn for a long period of time because it is not one of my favourites I might even end up giving this one away to someone who might love it more than I do. It could be one which does surprise me and I might love it when it comes to burning it this wax.

Lemon Sorbet was the next one which I picked out of the box this is one again to me which screams summer to me. I think because you seem to have a lot more lemon things in the summer months such as lemon in your drinks and you eat more sorbet. I think I would have to say that this is one of my favourites because I love how clean it smells rather than a super sweet one. I think this is one which I could burn so easy when I am cleaning or when I need hint of summer on those dull rainy horrible days which no doubt will appear at some stage in the near future.

Palm Tree is another one which we received in this box this is something which you always think of if you go a on as a warm summer holiday abroad you will see that the and smell them. This smells a little bit of natural and is smells like the summer to me for some reason maybe this is because I have not been on holiday in the longest time abroad. I am sure that that this is going to be one which I am going to burn very soon while it is very warm. I think this is because I can dream that I am actually on a sunny beach somewhere.

As you may know if you have read any of these posts you know that I actually love the fruity and clean scents. This one is scent is Pineapple & Lime this is one which I adore it smells like a lot of the fruit coolers like they do in Costa I think it is the tropical one. I know I have said a couple of these have been my favourites however, I am sure that this is my ultimate and maybe on of the favourite which we have had in the recent boxes. This is going to be one of the first ones which I burn when I get some spacer in my wax burners because they are currently full. I might have to research if they have this in a candle because for sure this is one which I would love to purchase in a huge candle size.

The final item which I recieved in the box this month is the Strawberry Candy tart this is not one which I love. The reason behind this is because of the fact that it smells super sweet and this is not one which I like at all because it is to sweet for me I think that this would be on which you would adore should you like the sweeter scents. I think this is one which I might break up into chunks so that I do end up burning it and then it may not be too sweet for me.

Overall I thought this box was actually a pretty good box I think this has been one of my favourite boxes in the last couple of months. I think there is only maybe 2 tarts which I am not looking forward to burning immediately.

What is your favourite from this box?

The March Melt Box- Flamingo Candles '17

One thing which I am always looking forward to when a new month started is that there is going to be a new melt box arriving as you know I am someone who loves burning candles and tarts. Of course today I am going to share with you March's edition I know this is pretty late, however, I have just had some much content to get out to you lovely people. March has an amazing spring theme as some of you may know March is when the Spring starts officially and this month I have seen that the weather has become so much nicer.

Rose Velvet & Precious Oud this is the first wax tart which I am not a huge fan of rose as some of you may know if you read my candles or lush haul. This one has made me actually like the scent and for some reason I can not put my finger on the reason why maybe they have done something different with the rose which actually makes me like it. I may have to burn this one very soon as I am loving this on a dry sniff.

Violet & Lime this to me smells like parma violets sweets which is not something that I dislike but this is not one which I am looking forward to burning the most. The reason behind this may be due to the fact that I never really loved the sweets when I was growing up as a child so the scent is not one which I have a huge craving to burn. This might smell amazing with something else which is sweet I am unsure what I will burn yet.

Pink Lemonade I think that this is one of my favourite scents that I have this month because it smells to me super berry and lemon. This really reminds me of the spring/summer which means that it will not take me long to want to burn this because it smells amazing and I love it when it is the summer. I really need to get what I have in my burners burnt because I want this one ASAP.

Creme Brulee is a tart which is a little bit too sweet for me due to the fact that I am a girl who love the more fresh and fruity scents compared to the sweets. I think if you like creme brulee you are actually going to love this scent because of the fact that it is a true representation of the famous desert.

Peaches and Cream reminds me of the sweets which used to be cream and peach from the 90's/00's which used to come in wrappers I swear you used to get them from the dentist but maybe that is me who just used to consume them after been the the dentist. I used to love to suck them so there is no wonder I used to be at the dentist. I am sure that this is one which I am going to be burning very shortly because it does smell actually so much like these sweets and I wish you could still get them.

Tangerine Mojito I love this scent because it is citrus with a hint of mint which just takes the edge off. I would love to be able to drink this one because it smells that amazing, This is one which on the days when you wish you was in a beer garden but you can not because you have other things to be doing such as staying in and completing assignments which seems to be the story of my life at the moment. I think that this is one of my favourites in this box.

Daffodil is one which I am not a huge fan of because I do not know what the flower actually has a scent and for me it was a little bit the same with this tart. I am sure that if you love floral scents this may be one which you will end up really liking more than I do. It may be a good one to burn if you have a large area where you burn your tarts

Orange Pekoe Tea I am not a huge fan of tea in candles which is the all that I can smell in this candle. To me it smells like an earthy but very spicy wax tart however this is no a type of tea which I have managed to smell. This is one which I am sure I will burn at some stage however, this is not going to be one which I am going to be itching to burn.

What is your favourite scent from this box?
